Welcome to Blue Door

We look forward to welcoming you to Blue Door – a small family-run B+B about 1 mile / 1·5km from the middle of Holmfirth, West Yorkshire.

A few minutes away by car or 15 to 20 minutes on foot (a bit longer coming back up the hill!) Holmfirth is a small town with a range of takeaways, restaurants and pubs.

Rowan knitting & fabric weekends

We are the nearest B+B to Rowan Yarns – it’s just a 3 minute walk down the hill.

Sculpture & pottery courses

We are about 5 minutes’ drive from Sculpture Lounge and less than 10 minutes from Booth House Gallery.

Photography workshops

We are 2 doors down the road from Andrew Sanderson.

Fabric workshops

Convenient for Dionne Swift’s fabric and devoré workshops (a few minutes by car, 20 minutes on foot).

Walkers & cyclists

If you’re cycling we have a locked shed for overnight storage and there’s a hose if you need to wash your bike down. If you’re walking the Pennine Way please let us know as (for a small fee) we may be able to collect you in the evening and take you back in the morning (we are about 5 miles / 8 km from where the Pennine Way crosses the A635 Manchester road).
