HolmfirthFrom Blue Door the middle of Holmfirth is a few minutes by car or 15 to 20 minutes on foot (a little longer coming back up the hill!). It is a small Pennine town with a range of take-aways, restaurants and pubs. During the day there are shops to meet most needs and in the evening the Co-op supermarket is open until 22.00 (16.00 on Sunday). Outdoor lifeHolmfirth is just outside the Peak District National Park and is an excellent base for walking and other outdoor activities. City LifeFor shopping and culture Bradford, Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield are all less than an hour by car – or can easily be reached by public transport from Huddersfield. Public Transport
